Starboard Attitude is a nightclub located on the Redondo Beach Pier. It’s considered to be the oldest "live blues club" in the South Bay area of Southern California. The current owner, Ed Castro, has operated the business since 1987, and the place has had the name, Starboard Attitude, since 1980. Before that, during the late nineteen sixties and the decade of the seventies, it was a local bar called Hollihan’s. It’s always had live music, and today - along with the blues and R&B - we also present some blues/rock and rock-and-roll to cater to the divergent tastes of our clientele. We offer Karaoke Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 8pm-midnight, and1st and 3rd Sunday from 3p-11p and 2nd and 4th Sundays from 7p-11p.  We also offer Happy Hour Specials Mon through Thur from 4p-7:30p.

We’re located over the water, and the sunsets can be spectacular from the pier. Although we’re strictly a nightclub with no kitchen, there are several nice restaurants on the Redondo Beach Pier - all within very short walking distance.

Also, a note about parking: As you should be able to see from the "driving directions" or map, Torrance Boulevard is the east/west street that will take you to the Redondo Pier. Torrance Blvd. dead-ends in the pier parking structure. After you cross Catalina Ave., the last cross street before the ocean, you will go down a hill to the entry gate of the parking lot. After taking a ticket, make a half right turn - then go straight for about 60 yards [you'll be in what's designated by a painted post as "4"]. At the dead end, take a left, and you'll enter area "6." Take another left and come upon area "7." Exiting the parking lot from area "7" will allow you to walk onto the pier. Our building is the first one as you exit the parking lot. We're upstairs, across from El Torito's, and just before Tony's On the Pier.
